I got that name from an old nightshow back on Long Island I used to work for..they said I reminded them of the Nintendo Ice Hockey game, ya know the one where they had the 3 guys to choose from, one of which was the really skinny STICK guy...there ya go...no awesome story, that's how I got stuck with it (no pun intended)
I live in Orlando now. Home of Mickey, the freakin' Magic Kingdom the whole kit and kaboodle.
I have done radio for close to 9 years in cities like New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Hartford, Cleveland and many many others...Yeah, I play Switchfoot's "Dare You To Move" and call U-Haul every now and again!
My last non-radio job was actually the guy that cleans your windows at Jiffy Lube..ironically enough my dad was auto mechanic growing up and wanted me to see what hard work was really like, so he made me do that. As you can tell, I got motivated to do something with myself REAL quick.
I didn't even listen to the kind of music I play now as a kid..cept Casey Kasem in the car on Sundays, but who didn't?
I grew up loving baseball, it was my life early on...collected cards (still have em) and listened to every game on the radio. That's where my fascination began. I would go in the backyard and hit the ball against the wall and envision myself, not as a player but as the play by play announcer. It gets worse...I actually would do it when playing Nintendo and later Sega Genesis.
I would say I grew up pretty normal in the suburbs of New York on Long Island. Lived there til I was 19, before that had never even been on a plane. Ironic I've moved so much since!
I fell into this genre of music in college where I knew I needed to get on the air somehow..I fell in love with it and here I am almost 10 years later!
Some basic crap-I am 27, an Aries...I live alone but have a cat..yup a guy with a cat (old relationship the girl made me get a cat, she relented so I gave in, then ended up liking the sucker!) his name is Zack, yea like Zack Morris.
I still like to travel ALOT, just don't have anyone to do it with at the present time. I have had quite a few relationships, I have a knack for picking ones that are bonkers. (Ask me sometime about the one we call FIRESTARTER)
